About the International Women's Trail Summit

The International Women’s Trail Summit is the brainchild of a handful of outdoorsy women with one goal:

Get Women Outside.

We have experienced first-hand the life changing effects of outdoor experiences, and want to offer these same opportunities to women around the world. Add to this the stream of questions from women on social media about everything from which type of hiking shoes to buy for first-timers to which 7-day backpacking trip is the best, and we couldn’t help but try to come up with a solution.

The International Women’s Trail Summit is that solution.

A 2-day outdoor intensive where women can come to be educated and inspired. Where they can grow in confidence and increase their abilities. Where they can network with like-minded women around the world.

Unlike typical conferences, which are on-location an often prohibitively expensive, the IWTS is 100% online.

That means women from all over the world can attend virtually in their sweatpants, from their smartphones, with their kids around, or at their desk at work.

Because the big goal is to Get Women Outside, sessions will

  • Educate for Confidence
  • Inspire for Encouragement
  • Interact for Experience

Classes, sessions, and workshops will cover a wide range of women-powered trail-going activities including

  • Hiking
  • Mountain Biking
  • Cycling Tours
  • Kayak and SUP
  • Rock Climbing
  • Backpacking
  • Snowboarding
  • Skiing and Snowshoeing

From what to wear, how to pack, equipment needs, training and nutrition, taking along kids, and negotiating the time to get outside, there will be something for every woman.

Because every woman deserves to Get Outside.
